Faster Smarter Better

Trying to go back into the habit of feeding my brain since jobwise I feel my neurons are slowly floating away.

This past week read this little book: Smarter, Faster, Better.

"At the core of "Smarter Faster Better" are eight key concepts from motivation and goal setting to focus and decision making that explain why some people and companies get so much done."

And the 8 concepts are:
1 MOTIVATION
Make a choice that puts you in control.
Connect it to something you Care about.

2 TEAMS
How, not whom.
Message of your choices.

3 FOCUS
Envision what will happen

4 SETTING GOALS
Main goal of bigger aspiration.
Break into smaller subgoals and develop smart objectives.

5 MANAGING OTHERS
Empowered decision making because of expertise, generating insight and productivity.

6 MAKING DECISIONS
Envision multiple futures.
Seek different ideas, out of the box.

7 INNOVATION
Combine old ideas and new ways.
How I feel, how I think. Sensitive to my own experiences.
Stress can lead to creative desperation that births new ideas and creative breakthrough.
Critique what you create, no blindness.

8 ABSORBING DATA
Gather data, do something with it.
Explain the idea.

Recognize the choices people normally overlook.
